Build Resiliency of Food, Energy & Natural Resources
Hawaiʻi communities face unique problems relating to the lack of available local resources to maintain the sustainable well-being of our communities with food, energy and natural resources.
Hawaiʻi is now leading the nation in the development of renewable energy and the first state government to commit to 100% renewables. At one time, Hawaiʻi sustained as many as 800,000 people without imports, and movements are now being made toward once again building food security. Working together Hawaiʻi could again be locally sustained and secure.
